Answer:

Must inform a suspect of the right to remain silent.

Explanation:

Miranda Warning was as a result of the decision of the Supreme Court in Miranda v. Arizona in the United States. Miranda Warning empowers the Police officers to make sure that, at the point of arresting a suspect, or during interrogation at the police custody, they inform such suspect in clear words, that he/she has the right to remain silent and that whatever he says will be used against him the Court of law. Miranda Warning further strengthens the rights accrued to an accused person.  It protects the right of an accused person to be represented by a counsel/attorney before interrogating the accused person and where such suspect or accused person does not have the funds to get a lawyer/attorney, a lawyer will be given to him. It is important to note that, Miranda Warning varies in different states depending on their interpretations.
