Dear Johnny, I didn't appreciate it when you pushed me down in the hallway at school. Especially when you starting kicking me in my ribcage (pretty sure you cracked a few) I also hated the incredible humiliation I went through as you kicked me without ceasing. I know your mad at me for telling the teachers that you cheated on my homework, but I had to do it. I mean either I was going to take the blame or it was gonna be you. Before imperialism , empires such as Mapungubwe, Mutapa, Rozvi and Ndebele managed to thrive in this region and contributed to the development of Zimbabwe's trade routes, agricultural process,  and public infrastructures.

After European imperialist come, they managed to defeat the existing kingdoms and took possession of all resources in the country. Since the locals did not benefited from these resources exploitations, the economy in Zimbabwe became destroyed over time. Today, it is considered as one of the poorest country in the world.
