Is "The light is blinding" a metaphor?

It actually depends on how you're looking at it and how it is placed in a sentence/ situtation. For example, if this is placed in a story about a girl and a boy who falls in love with each other, and the boy says ," The light is blinding," to the girl. He could be referring to the girl being too beautiful and her beauty is blinding her (I know, cheesy right? XD). But if this quote was placed in a normal story about a girl with her adventures and she states that the light shining through the window is blinding her, that would only be a statement descibing it. I know this kind of doesn't answer your question as a simple yes or a no, it probably didn't even help you. Sorry for wasting your good time you will never get back. But, either way, thanks for reading this, again, I know if didn't exactly answer your question....sorry

Formal and informal refer to two types of _____.
biography
essay
fiction
magazine
Sveta_85 [38]
I guess formal and informal refer to two types of essay - you can write a formal essay where you avoid conversational language and such and where you need to be very professional, or you can write informally where you don't have to think about such things, it is very casual.
