The ruins of old Mycenaean cities in diverse parts of Greece are the major source of information about this civilization of the Late Bronze Age that spans from 1700 to 1100 BCE. Its a predecessor of the splendid Greek classical culture of the following millenium. In Mycenaean centres, large palace complexes and common architectural styles are found.
