The importance of keeping promises

Explanation:

Keeping promises is most important in the continuous growth of happy and healthy relationships. Trusting someone is one of the key stepping stones to any relationship. Making of Promises involves in every relationship between two people. It involves giving each other words that must be followed given any certain circumstance. The promises we make to somebody and the promise that somebody makes to us are a sign of love, trust, and underline commitment. Promises reveal the true character of a person; whether a person breaks or keeps a promise and they become known for it. A promise is something special to be kept close to your heart and not as a casual statement or action. If it is broken it can really be hurtful or destructive. It can hurt a person’s reputation, friendships, and integrity. Breaking a promise sometimes becomes the reason for losing trust and respect for the person who failed to keep it. When we break to keep a promise to someone, it communicates or conveys to that person that we don't value their existence in our life. Not keeping a promise is like disrespecting our own. Ultimately it can harm our self-image, self-esteem, and our life. Be true to one's own self about what and why you are promising something to someone. Remember, trust is built when promises are made to our loved ones. So when promises are broken or people are misled, the bonds of trust are breached leading to weakening of relationship. Broken promises reveal that either the person who made promises didn’t think before making it or don’t care or worry about losing you. They are also leaving n indirect message that their needs are more important than yours. So be careful before making promises. If you can’t keep a promise, don’t make it. Every time when you make a promise, you’re putting your honor on the line. You also imply that others can trust in you because you value integrity and would never break them. If you don’t keep up to your promise, you may end up degrading one's own value, killing your relationships and defaming your reputation. Most importantly, you are letting yourself down. But when promises are made with complete integrity, what you promise for will be taken at face value, your intentions will be honored. No matter what whether small or big a promise once made is made. It has its own value for what and why it was made. Never make promises when you are not able to keep up it.

MARK AS BRAINLIEST!!
murzikaleks [220]

Answer: The two correct answers are: “the townspeople” and "the judge (“jedge”)". Taken from the novel “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” by Mark Twain (1884), Twain ridicules the townspeople and the judge in the excerpt presented above. In this passage from Chapter 23 of the novel, the duke and the dauphin make a performance so brief that the crowd nearly attacks them. They recited lines from Shakespeare in some shows, but they did not know the full meaning of the words. Twain here ridicules the townspeople and the judge because of their level of ignorance; townspeople could be easily deceived, since they did not have a basic education. Twain ridicules them through the irony in the judge’s statement saying that the townspeople truly believe it is more sensible to devise a plan to fool the others too instead of admitting they have been fooled. Finally, Huck and the duke did not perform a third show and escaped before the townspeople coming to get their revenge attack them.
