Unlike the romantics realistic chose to use real-life situation over idealism. Realism can also be referred to as naturalism whereby it means the attempts where the subject matter is being referred truthfully without exotic or artificiality or implausible. Examples of movement which invoke realism include theatrical realism, literay realism and style of verismo.

It doesn't explain why he is crying, and is the most suspenseful, but one could argue it was C, because they could have going the wrong direction, but B is the most suspenseful due to the crying and emotion in it.
