Why is London United Kingdom farther north than Ottawa Canada but it's warmer

The Ocean is closer to the UK than Ottawa , this helps to keep the temperature constant because it takes more heat to warm up water than it does just land. Because if this, if somewhere was closer to ocean, it would take more heat to heat it hotter, but more cold to cool it down, so overall it would be warmer than somewhere with little water nearby.

British Empire is the largest empire in world history and has the most important power in the world. British started to setup their power in 16^{th} century, through overseas colonies.

By 1783 Great Britain had a empire with colonies in ''West Indies'' and ''America''. The stumble of the monarchy and kingdom of two pillars of Myanmar's society was the most catastrophic aspect of colonial era.  

<u>Burma connection with Great Britian: </u>

British rule in Burma prolonged from 1824 to 1948 that fluctuated from the Anglo-Burmese war to establish Burma as a British region of India. Burma was named after a British-dominated ethnic group. The name was used as the official name of the country until 1989, when the military decided to replace it in Myanmar.
