Answer:

option (A) cake

Step-by-step explanation:

Greg purchased supplies for a party

He purchased Helium tank costing = $31.61

purchased a sheet cake = $18.44

purchased a punch bowl costing = $12.78

purchased paper decorations = $23.69

Greg's total  came  = 80.99

It was different from the total of original prices because he used a discount coupon of 30% on one of his item purchased.

We have to find the item on which coupon was applied.

Total of all items with original prices (without discount coupon)

= 31.61 + 18.44 + 12.78 + 23.69 = $86.52

Total of all items after the discount coupon was applied was = $80.99

so, the difference price = 86.52 - 80.99 = $5.53

This difference is 30% of one of the item, and that item is sheet of cake

⇒ $18.44 × 30% = $5.53

Therefore, option (A) cake is the answer.
