A teacher promised a movie day to the class that did better, on average, on their test. The box plot shows the results of the te

st:
box plot labeled 2nd period with min at 77, Q1 at 78, median at 89, Q3 at 92, max at 100. Box plot labeled 4th period with min at 72, Q1 at 82.5, median at 89, Q3 at 96, max at 97.5

Which class should get the reward, and why?

a. The 2nd period class should get the reward. They have the highest score, a perfect 100.
b. The 2nd period class should get the reward. They have a higher median.
c. The 4th period class should get the reward. Though the medians are the same, the first and third quartiles are higher, so the students did better on average than in the 2nd period class.
d. The 4th period class should get the reward. Their lowest score is an outlier, and should be thrown out.

Hii!!

I think that the correct answer would be C. I know that it couldn't be A because not everyone in 2nd period got 100% and the average students got below 95%. B no because they do not have the same median. D, I do not think so at all. So I would go with C I think it is relatively the best answer!!

Hope that helps!1

In our amusement park that we built this week, the ride Diablo’s Domain had revenue of $250,000,000 in its first year as expecte
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

The amount to be paid for insurance will be $ 937,500. In this context, it is reasonable that insurance costs increase proportionally, as the ride will have a greater use and, therefore, a greater exposure to risk.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the amusement park Diablo's Domain ride generated $ 250,000,000 in revenue, and the company paid $ 750,000 in insurance for that game ($ 3 for every $ 1,000 in profit), to determine the amount of insurance that should be paid if the winnings increase by 25% and the same proportion of 3/1000 to be paid is maintained, the following calculation must be made:

(250,000,000 x 1.25) x (3/1000) = X

312,500,000 x 0.003 = X

937,500 = X

Therefore, the amount to be paid for insurance will be $ 937,500.

Seven pipes empty a water tank in five days. In how many days would four pipes empty this tank? Give your answer in days and hou
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

It would take 8 days 18 hours for 4 pipes to empty the tank.

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this, first, we need to check if this is a direct or indirect proportion

As the number of pipes increases, the number of days to empty a water tank decreases, as the number of pipes decreases, the number of days it takes to empty a water tank increases. This is an indirect proportion.

Solving using  proportion;

since it is an indirect proportion, the arrangement differs from that of the direct proportion, it will be arrange inversely to each other

Let x be the number of days it will take to empty 4 pipes

7 pipes = 4 pipes

 x         = 5 days

cross-multiply

4×x = 7×5

4x = 35

Divide both-side of the equation by 4

4x/4 = 35/4

x = 8.75 days

But we are asked to leave our answer in days and hour

8.75 days = 8 days + 0.75 days

0.75 day is not up to a day, so we will change it to hour

0.75 day = 0.75 × 24 hours =  18 hours

8.75 days = 8 days 18 hours.

Therefore, it would take 8 days 18 hours for 4 pipes to empty the tank.

A cuboid is a three-dimensional shape, having six faces, where all the faces (top, bottom, and lateral faces) of the prism are rectangles, and every two opposing side faces are identical.

Therefore a cuboid is a rectangular prism.

Please help me, i don’t understand this question nor how to do it !!!!
Fantom [35]

Step-by-step explanation:

See attached picture.

First, compare the highest term of the dividend (x²) to the highest term of the divisor (x).  We need to multiply the divisor by x.

When we do that, we get x² + 5x.  Subtracting this from the dividend, we get -9x + 11.

Now repeat the process.  Compare the highest term of the new dividend (-9x) to the highest term of the divisor (x).  We need to multiply by -9.

When we do that, we get -9x − 45.  When we subtract from the new dividend, we get 56.

So the quotient is x − 9, and the remainder is 56.

A plain old black witch hat won't be good enough this year, Wanda
Komok [63]

The answer would be $42.4. $50 minus $10 is $40. Multiply that by 106% because of tax, and you get $42.4.

Hope this helped! :)
