-2x^2 + 500x - 350

You need to plug in the equations for C(x) and R(x) into the equation P(x)= R(x) - C(x) and solve.

We will do exactly what the question asks and we will Subtract C(x) from R(x) to discover P(x):

P(x) = R(x) - C(x)
P(x) = (-2x^{2} + 900x - 200) - (400x + 150)
P(x) = -2x^{2} + 900x - 400x + 150  - 200
P(x) = -2x^{2} + 500x - 50

Hope this helps!

Parking at a university has become a problem. University administrators are interested in determining the average time it takes
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

In this particular case,the target population of interest to the university administration constitutes the university students.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • The university administration is interested to conduct a statistical study to identify the average or mean time taken by the students to find a vacant parking spot.
  • Therefore,the research topic here is the average time taken by the university students to find parking spot. The administrator collects an inconspicuous sample of 240 samples from the target population of the study,which is the overall student population of the university.
  • The sample collected by the university administration is used to observe the average or mean parking time by the university students.

Algebra 1 Word Problem
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

otterbox costs $95; beats costs $210

Step-by-step explanation:

x = otterbox   y = beats

4x + 2y = 800      y = 2x + 20

4x + 2(2x + 20) = 800

4x + 4x +40 = 800

8x + 40 = 800

8x = 800 - 40

8x = 760

x = 760 / 8

x = 95  Otterbox costs $95 each

4x + 2y = 800

4(95) + 2y = 800

380 + 2y = 800

2y = 800 - 380

2y = 420

y = 420 / 2

y = 210   Beats costs $210

4(95) + 2(210) = 800

380 + 420 = 800
