Answer:

way of life

Explanation:

People's way of life refers to the different things people do every day. This expression has to do with their lifestyle. This differs from country to country.

The word habit refers to a tendecy or a repeated activity , but it is not the word used to describe the way people live in a whole country. It does not collocate in the expression : .......of life.

The word custom refers to an activity a group of people can often do ; we can use it to exemplify people's way of life. Besides, semantically, custom does not collocate with preposition + life.

System does not collocate with ....of life, either. System is used to make reference to a systematic organization of people in a country. These organizations have to do with education, health or justice.

 1. noun phrase
 2. adverb phrase
 3. verb phrase
 4. adjective phrase

It is an adjective phrase (4).

An adjective phrase is a group of words complementing, specifying, or modifying a 'head' adjective in the sentence. It is called an adjective (or adjectival) phrase because the whole group of words functions as an adjective, which means it provides information about a noun.

Here, the adjective phrase "for strong bones and teeth" is specifying the head adjective "essential." It is functioning as an adjective for the noun "calcium" by giving us information about it.

Answer:

A The author uses loaded language when he says, “Some of the things we're throwing away are poisoning the Earth and will eventually poison all of us and all living things,”

Explanation:

According to the excerpt from America the Not-So-Beautiful by Andrew A. Rooney, the author talks about the dangers of improperly disposing waste. He tries to convince Americans that they should dispose of their waste properly.

The author uses loaded language to convey his point of view about throwing things away by saying that Americans are "wasteful and we don't want to fix anything, so if something is broken we will just buy a new one". He also says that some of the things "we're throwing away are poisoning the Earth and will eventually poison all of us and all living things".

Loaded language is a type of rhetoric that is used to have an impact on an audience by triggering an emotional response by using strong words or phrases.
