Answer: The right answer is the B) expressing his feelings and coming to terms with his loss.

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that the British poet completed this poem in 1849 in honor of his closest friend, whose unexpected death at a very young age devastated him. The poem, therefore, helped him to express his feelings and to come to terms with the loss of his dear friend. There are references to love, nature, and death, but the main motivation for discussing Hallam's death is the expression of his grief.

Dr. Bell advised my father to write to Mr. Anagnos, director of the Perkins Institution in Boston, the scene of Dr. Howe's great labours for the blind, and ask him if he had a teacher competent to begin my education. If you did want to ask that here is the answer because I had the same quizz before:

Answer is A

because...

Keller’s father contacted the director of the Perkins Institution and requested a teacher for his daughter. After a long wait, Miss Sullivan arrived at the Kellers’ house in March 1887.In Helen Keller's "The Story of My Life", she narrates how she began to learn and live her life as a blind and deaf person since her childhood. She recounts how she came to be after her lessons with Miss Annie Sullivan. At the end of Chapter III, Helen mentions how Dr. Alexander Graham Bell who they had consulted about her condition had suggested her father Mr. Keller to write to Mr. Anagnos. Being the director of Perkins Institution in Boston, he would be able to suggest any teacher to help Helen.

He winced at the scratchy blare of the battered trumpet, the uncertain smash of the tarnished cymbals, and the anguished screech
8_murik_8 [283]
Cacophony means a harsh, discordant mixture of sound that is annoying or irritating. A combination of sounds that is not in harmony.

The words that form the clue to the meaning of cacophony are:
1) blare, battered, trumpet
2) smash, cymbals
3) anguished, screech, poorly-played saxophone

Trumpet, cymbals, and saxophone are all musical instruments. If these instruments were in very good condition and were played well, then the sounds they would have produced will be harmonious.
