Rudyard Kipling’s literary career began in journalism, but his prose sketches and verse brought him early fame.
 Kipling was so closely associated with the expansive, confident attitude of late nineteenth century European civilization that it was inevitable that his reputation would suffer in the years during and after World War I.
Many who condemn him feel that Kipling's writing was inseparable from his social and political views, despite Kipling's considerable artistry. Critics often point to Kipling's transparently racist portrayals of Indian characters, which often supported the colonialist view that the Indians and other colonized peoples were incapable of surviving without the help of Europeans.

HELP!
GREYUIT [131]

Yes, Like most strategic bombing during World War II, the aim of the air offensive against Japan was to destroy the enemy's war industries, kill or disable civilian employees of these industries, and undermine civilian morale. If a means is justified by an end, the use of the atomic bomb was justified for it brought Japan to her knees and ended the horrible war. If the war had gone longer, without the use of the atomic bomb, how many thousands and thousands of helpless men, women and children would have needlessly died and suffered ...?

Hope this helps ❤❤

Margaret [11]

Answer:

Laura's lawsuit against Bolivia will most likely not prevail because of the Act of state doctrine.

Explanation:

According to this Act, a sovereign state (United States) must respect the independence of any other sovereign state (Bolivia) and, as a result, all the laws and regulations that such sovereign state sets forth. If no US dollars are allowed to enter Bolivia, US citizens traveling to such country have to change US dollars for "Bolivianos", which is the currency used in Bolivia.

In addition, a court (a US court in this case) is not entitled to hear a case where a foreign issue is involved (the fact of exchanging foreign currency). This case cannot be heard nor decided by a US court because that would interfere with the US foreign policy (with Bolivia in this case).

Each week, Wellspring Waters incurs total costs of $38,500 to filter natural spring water. The firm can then bottle the water as
Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer: C

Wellspring should produce flavored water both this week and next.

Explanation: Given that

The total costs to filter natural spring water = $38500

With Weekly revenue for plain water = $92,700

Gain = 92700 - 38500 = $54200

While

The cost of flavorings bottling = $38500 + $4600 = $43100

With Weekly revenue for the flavored water = $100,800

Gain = 100800 - 43100 = $57700

If the cost of filtering the spring water will decrease by $1,000 in the week ahead, then

Normal water gain = $44100

but the cost of flavorings will increase by $1,200.

Flavour water gain = 57700 - 1200

Flavour water gain = $56500

Since flavour water gain is more than normal water, we will conclude that Wellspring should produce flavored water both this week and next.
