The Birth of a Nation was a film that triggered the revival of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1910s and 1920s. Its original name was "the Clansman". It was released in 1915.

The film is set during the American Civil War and the Reconstruction Era, and tells the story of two families: one pro-Union and the other pro-Confederacy.

The film was a commercial success but it was also very polemic because of the manner in which black men were portrayed as unintelligent and sexually aggressive towards white women, and because it represented the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) as a heroic force. Such image presented, inspired the revival of the KKK.

Angry old white guys that are angry at angry old black guys. It simply comes down to racism most people when kids probably grew up in the slave era and became racist and the "New Klu Klux Klan" was most likely around those people during that time and so they followed and here we go the KKK is back but they are less "KILL THE BLACKS BURN THE FLAG" and more Black Friendly.

How did anti-Semitism develop in the Christian world, from the early days of Christianity in Rome through the 18th century?
7nadin3 [17]

Answer:

In early christianity it was a common thougt that the Jews killed Jesus christ in since they did but theology has evolved and accepted the fact that we all killed Jesus becuase of our sins. The religion was a heresy of Judaism like Islam is a heresy of christianity. However in the 18th century long after the crusades the Jews were in the minority. We see today that majority is willing to blame the minority for its problems.Since their was a large competition between church and synagogue and the Jews rougly got the bad end of the stick after the 18th century when Hitler pointed his finger at the Jews it was only a matter of time before that build up of antisemitism exploded.
