Amy paid $68.68 for a pair of running shoes during a 35 %-off sale. What was the regular price?
Katen [24]

Answer:

original price = 105.66

Step-by-step explanation:

35% off means she pays 100-35 = 65%

original price * 65% = 68.68

Change to decimal form

original price *.65 = 68.68

Divide each side by .65

original price *.65/.65 = 68.68/ .65

original price = 105.66

Gre4nikov [31]

There's a simple formula for the area of an ellipse:  pi*a*b, where a and b are , half the lengths of the long axis and the short axis respectively.

Here, A = pi*(12 ft)(4 ft) = 48 pi ft^2, or about 150.8 ft^2.

How do I find the distance between (-2,5) and (22,12)
jok3333 [9.3K]

\bf ~~~~~~~~~~~~\textit{distance between 2 points} \\\\ (\stackrel{x_1}{-2}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{5})\qquad (\stackrel{x_2}{22}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{12})\qquad \qquad d = \sqrt{( x_2- x_1)^2 + ( y_2- y_1)^2} \\\\\\ d=\sqrt{[22-(-2)]^2+[12-5]^2}\implies d=\sqrt{(22+2)^2+(12-5)^2} \\\\\\ d=\sqrt{24^2+7^2}\implies d=\sqrt{625}\implies d=25

Answer:

No, It is not true

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all, we should have a number in the tenths place, and we don't.
