Answer:

The Habeas Corpus Act of 1679 limited the power of the monarchy by preventing monarchs from having opponents arrested.

Explanation:

The Habeas Corpus Act of 1679 was passed during the reign of King Charles II.

According to this act, no one could be imprisoned without a valid order of the appropriate court. After imprisonment, the court should supervise the execution of the sentence. The convict should be imprisoned in the county in which he was tried. The Act provided for disciplinary sanctions for guards, prisoners, etc. for negligence related to, for example, failure to bring a prisoner in court. A specific deadline was set before the court. Each letter (writ of) habeas corpus had to be royal stamped.

Answer:

I think any relationship between the Indus Valley and the deep Dravidian south is unlikely because of the vast gap in space and time. About 2,000 years and 2,000 miles. But linguistically, if the Indus script is understood, we may hopefully find that the proto-Dravidian roots of the Harappa language and South Indian Dravidian languages are similar.
