Alexis de Tocqueville (1805 - 1859) created books in the 19th century to travel in the united states to study and observe the prisoners. His book was named Democracy in America and it focuses on equality and individualism. He was born into an aristocratic family during the time of French revolutionary upheavals and years later, his parents were imprisoned during the reign of terror.</span>
The american dream is the belief that through hard work and perseverance we can all achieve greatness and be successful. This is possible because success is all dependent upon one's mindset. What one considers success may differ from what another views it to be. so we can all reach our own american dream based on our individual goals.
