Emperor Jahangir’s point of view about English merchants in the Mughal Empire was that the British comes to his empire for the purpose of trade so he allowed the British to built their factories in Surat and other regions in the Mughal empire. The British would not come to the Indian sub-continent for trade but to capture this fertile and valuable land so for that purpose they showed that they will come for trade.
