How do classical Greek political structures compare with those of classical Rome
eimsori [14]
The ancient Roman and Greek civilizations had well-organized political processes that greatly influenced the manner in which later governments were structured in Europe and the United States. The system of political parties, the establishment of divisions in government -- even political words such as democracy, monarchy and tyranny -- originated in ancient Rome and Greece. Although Rome drew many of its political principles from the Greeks, and as a result, developed a government similar to that of Greece, there were several differences between the two.

Describe the difference between the two ancient symbols Ma’atand Themis
Usimov [2.4K]

Themis was a goddess in ancient Greek mythology that was represented by Law, order and Justice.

Also, the ancient Egyptians had Ma'at who was a more or less likened to the Greek godesses, Themis.

Ma'at was known to carry both a sword and and a feather of truth.

Both mythology could be compared to the Roman goddess of Justice known as Justitia.

Difference between The Symbol of Themis and Ma'at

Themis is depicted as a woman with a sword on one hand and a scale on the other hand.

Her image is usually blindfolded and it shows that Justice is blind and does not recognize anyone however everyones deeds are weighed with the same scale and justice is served with the sword.

Ma'at on the other hand is depicted as a woman who is either sitting or standing while wearing an ostrich feather on her head and, in some cases, she was depicted with wings.

Do you agree or disagree with weisel’s statement that words “ can attain the quality of deeds?”
Aleks [24]
Yes because a lot of things can be done with words, look at Ghandi or Martin Luther King Junior's "I have a Dream" speech.
