1. drinking/drugs and driving - when your brain is impaired by alcohol and/or drugs, you should definitely not drive because it may lead to an accident
2. ignorance of road signs - you have to know what each of the road signs mean if you want to avoid an accident
3. lack of concentration - if you are constantly drawing your attention to something other than driving (like talking, being on your phone), it may also lead to accidents
4. weather - depending on weather conditions, accidents may also happen due to fog, snow, heavy rain, etc.
5. stress/anger - if you are experiencing strong emotions which distract you, this may also cause an accident
