The Great Schism was promoted by Martin Luther and it helped it weakened people's faith in Catholic leaders, option A. According to Luther, the Catholic church was corrupt and the priests only looked for money and for themselves. At the same time, Luther saw the common people suffered and struggled economically, because they had to pay in order to be forgiven for their sins.
