Disagree that’s kinda effed up
The Spanish were able to conquer the Americas and the indigenous peoples who lived there because they had superior weaponry and military skills in comparison with their indigenous American adversaries. Because of this superior equipment and military development they were able to conquer the Americas.
When gold was discovered on Cherokee land in Georgia, whites poured onto Cherokee lands by the thousands, ignoring treaties, burning villages, and flaunting the U.S. Constitution and the Non-Intercourse laws passed by Congress.
After returning there were several cases of racist attacks against these african-american soldiers by other white soldiers.
Also during red summer mass violence and mob violence occurred and over the course of 3 days hundreds of black people we killed.
So to be honest there was a lot of racism and segregation was still present.
