The main holidays in honor of Durga are celebrated in spring and autumn; under the name Durga Puja and Durgotsawa, they make up the most important part of Navaratri (a celebration system dedicated primarily to Durga). In holiday rituals, people try to propitiate the formidable goddess and enlist her patronage; also, they worship members of her family. For offerings to Durga, believers use Neem tree leaves, turmeric, sandalwood paste, milk (sometimes with butter and/or salt, for watering a statue of goddess), and lemons. As mala, small lemons or turmeric root are used; also Rudraksha, sometimes mixed with pearls, is often used. Mala is often worn around the neck of the statue of the goddess, along with a garland of Neem leaves.

Browns raid made abolitionist (against slavery) look as if they where the bad guys, Lincoln-Douglas Made each state decide if they wanted to be a slave or no slave state and the Dred Scott made slavery 'legal' anywhere in the U.S.A. How did the Gutenberg press first help the Reformation take root?
Vanyuwa [196]

The correct answer is the fourth one: The Bible was printed in common language.

Martin Luther published the first full translation and the first printed edition of the Bible in German in 1534, before that, the Bible was only written in Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. Luther used the new technique invented by his countryman Johannes Gutenberg, the printing press, which allowed him to print numerous editions of the Bible in German language and disseminate it widely. It was a crucial phenomenon for the success of the Protestant Reformation since it permitted common people to have access to the scriptures and interpret them, it expanded literacy, and it helped to undermine the power of the Church and the educated ecclesial elites.

The extent to which states in the period 1450–1750 practiced religious tolerance.
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

No other era is as easy to summarize as the EARLY MODERN (1450-1750)

era. This is the era the Europeans "wake-up", expand, and build empires.

I'm not talking about Charlemagne here. I'm talking about the British

Empire. I'm talking about the Dutch East India Trading Company. I'm

talking about the Spanish Empire. This is a new Europe. This isn't Marco

. These Europeans will come to your land and stay there. They will

take over most of the world in this era (if not, in the next). Beyond the

Maritime empires (and the effect of their establishment), many huge land

empires emerged (most notably the Islamic Mughal and Ottoman Empires).

Of course, China is important... It always is. So, here is the Early Modern

Period!

Hope this helps LOVE!!
