Tennessee valley authority (TVA) enacted by president Roosevelt and congress brought hydroelectric power and industrial growth to parts of the south

Explanation:

The purpose of this act was to provide hydro electricity to the areas which was near the River Tennessee in an affordable price. President Franklin D Roosevelt decided to develop rural areas in the south specially near the river basin by providing electricity at affordable rates which would in turn improve the economic and social life of the people .

This act was a part of Feral government' New Deal programs which aimed at development of rural areas. His three dimensional strategy encompassed relief, recovery and reform in order to  battle the problems of Great depression. Dams and hydro power plant construction projects enhanced the production of electricity and low cost electricity is provided to seven southern states.
