Some of the original settlers were the Highland Scots, Salzburgers and Malcontents. Which groups agreed on the colony rules? Wha
Inga [223]
These groups helped to settle Georgia. Many disliked the inability to have trade rum with Native Americans, trading with the Natives required a license (another tax), and how slavery was illegal (indentured servants were ok though). Mainly the malcontents disliked the no slavery rule. They also wanted large plantations. This led to most of the Malcontents to leave and settle in South Carolina. Which was a provision of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Scott v. Sandford case?
fgiga [73]

I believe the answer is: A. Enslaved people were property and did not have the right to file a suit.

At that time, Dred Scott wanted to sue the government for the mistreatment experienced by his family and demanded that both his wife and kids to be freed from slavery. The court ruled out that only citizens have the right to file a suit and see slaves as property that can never be a citizen.
