Answer:

  1. Adapting organic food products and neglecting fertilizers based food products.
  2. Recycling biowaste as compost to grow vegetables at home.
  3. Preferring climate friendly food products (lentils) to reduce the burden on production of other foods that produce more greenhouse gases

Explanation:

As the global population is increasing, it is a hard task to feed everybody on Earth in a sustainable manner. To this end, modern societies are adapting sustainable eating behavior to reduce the impact on environment. Above, I have given 3 examples. There description is as follows:

  1. If we consume organic food, the use of fertilizers and pesticides would be reduced significantly. We know that fertilizers and pesticides are harmful of the environment. Hence, this strategy can help preserve our resources.
  2. We should adapt strategies to recyle our home based biowaste and use it as a compost to grow vegetables at home. This is more environmetal friendly practice and reduce the impact on farming market to produce more food for growing populations. Further, recycling would reduce the waste at landfill site and less energy would be needed to manage this waste.
  3. If we consume climate friendly foods - those foods that produce less greenhouse gases - it will also reduce the burden on environment. For example, growing rice every year results in the intensive production of methance gas which is released in the air. Therefore, such practices should be encouraged.
