The War of 1812 was a military conflict between the US, Great Britain, and Great Britain’s American Indian Allies. The main reason for the war was a series of impressment of American sailors and trade restrictions imposed by the British on American shipping. The British also started to support Indian resistance in the US.

There were many notable events on this war, one of them was the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in 1814, this battle happened in Mississippi, about 15% of the Creek population was killed and the military capabilities of the Creek Nation were destroyed.

With this defeat, the British abandoned the Native Americans and without any protection, the Natives suffered defeats and the US expanded westward.
