Thermal energy is related to the temperature of matter. For a given material and mass, the higher the temperature, the greater its thermal energy. Heat transfer is a study of the exchange of thermal energy through a body or between bodies which occurs when there is a temperature difference. When two bodies are at different temperatures, thermal energy transfers from the one with higher temperature to the one with lower temperature. Heat always transfers from hot to cold.

Which inference can the reader make about the continuing public fascination for President Lincoln? A Lincoln's reputation oversh
Serga [27]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

The continuing fascination for President Lincoln suggests that he embodies a heroic example of a 'common man of the people.' President Abraham Lincoln was the 14th President of the United States and mainly worked for the cause of common people.

In his presidency, he ended the slavery, ensured preservation of the Union, and did many things for the common people. The reason President Lincoln is a continuing public fascination is because he became a heroic example of a common man of the people.

Therefore, option  B is correct.

What natural phenomena influenced Victor when he was young? What does this foreshadow? in frankenstein
Contact [7]

Answer:

The phenomenon that influenced Victor when he was younger was the moment when he witnessed a tree being struck by lightning. This part of the story serves as a foreshadow of how Victor's creation will come to life.

Explanation:

Foreshadowing is a literary technique where the author advances information that will be seen later in the story. This information is given in a non-literal, subliminal way, to make the reader curious and anxious about how the story will unfold with the influence of this information that was advanced.

An example of this can be seen in Frankenstein, when Victor witnesses a natural phenomenon that influences how Victor will bring his creature to life. In the book, when Victor was a child, he was able to witness the moment when lightning strikes a tree. At that moment Victor witnesses the great power that a ray has. This moment is an example of foreshadowing, as Victor remembers that moment and decides to use a lightning bolt to give life to his monster.

In the poem mending wall line 6 them refers to
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

The subtle use of language in "I have come after them and made repair" (line 6) indicates that this is a regular occurrence. The hunters have destroyed sections of the stone wall in the selfish pursuit of their prey and apparently without concern for the landowners, who must work to repair the wall each spring.
