Analysis and individualism was promoted rather than tradition and reliance on Christian analysis and authority. This period started mainly in Western Europe, in the country of France, but also encompassed England, Scotland, Greece, Russia and many other countries. It made thinkers analyze the relationship between the state and it's people, as well as the role of the Church in society. It also helped to inspire change governmental systems in and around Europe.
