Harper Lee portrayed religion in his novel as other perceptions of other themes like sexism, discrimination, and racism. In the story, religion was believed to be a person with perfect Christian morals, however, it was their way of criticizing other people.
He uses imagery to explain how Guy Montag is a fireman. He shows him holding a snake rather than a hose. There is also auditory imagery, which is kinda used to describe the mosquito noises made by Mildred's seashells and the human noises made by jets. Kind of wonky!
