Convert all fractions to have the same denominator.

To convert, we must find the least common multiple of the two denominators of the fractions:

Multiples of 4: {4,8,12,16,20}
Multiples of 5: {5,10,15,20}

The least common multiple of 4 and 5 is 20.

Multiply the fractions by a number that will result in the denominator being 20:

\frac{3}{4} * \frac{5}{5} = \frac{15}{20}

\frac{2}{5} * \frac{4}{4} = \frac{8}{20}

The equation should now look like this:

\frac{15}{20} = w + \frac{8}{20}

Subtract both sides by 8/20 to get w by itself:

\frac{15}{20} - \frac{8}{20} = \frac{7}{20}

w = \frac{7}{20}

The value of w is 7/20.

First, you subtract 2/5 from 3/4
To do this you must make them have a common denominator.
This is simple just multiply the top and bottom by the other factors denominator.

\frac{3*5}{4*5} = \frac{15}{20}
\frac{2*4}{5*4} = \frac{8}{20}
Now just subtract 15-8 and get \frac{7}{20}
which cannot simplify so w=\frac{7}{20}

If cos is 6/10 what is tan
Alik [6]

Answer:

hey there so we know that Since <u>cos is 6/10</u> it means base is  going to be 6 and the hypotenuse is 10 .

so then we know that <u> tan is 8/6</u> it means perpendicular is 8 and base is 6.

also if you need, <u> sin is 8/10.</u>

Solve the equation. 25=9x+4-6x
raketka [301]

Answer:

\boxed{ \bold{ \huge{ \boxed{ \sf{x = 7}}}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\star{ \tt{ \: 25 = 9x + 4 - 6x}}

\sf{Step \: 1 \: } : Collect like terms

Like terms are those which have same base

\longmapsto{ \sf{25 = 3x + 4}}

\tt{Step \: 2 \: } : Swap the sides of the equation

\longmapsto{ \sf{3x + 4 = 25}}

\tt{Step \: 3 \: } : Move 4 to right hand side and change it's sign

\longmapsto{ \sf{3x = 25 - 4}}

\tt{Step \: 4} : Subtract 4 from 25

\longmapsto{ \sf{3x = 21}}

\tt{Step \: 5} : Divide both sides by 3

\longmapsto{ \sf{ \frac{3x}{3}  =  \frac{21}{3}}}

\tt{Step \: 6} : Calculate

\longmapsto{ \sf{x = 7}}

The value of x is 7

Hope I helped!

Best regards! :D
