4 donuts, but there aren't 10 total

Explanation:

2 cookies = $0.50

This means he has $5 left

$5 ÷ $1.25 (donut) = 4

So he can buy 4 donuts

But,

This means he does not have enough sweet treats in total, 4+2 = 6 total
