In the summertime of 1962, the spy planes of the United States flew over Cuba to had photographed structure work on missile equipment. John F. Kennedy, the then President of the U.S. declared a naval barrier to check the entrance of more missiles and charged that the Soviets destroy and eliminate the weaponry already in Cuba. In the long term,  Nikita Khrushchev, Soviet Premier requests removal of missiles from Cuba, settling the Cuban Missile Crisis.
