The two methods differ in the mode of communication

Explanation:

Basic communication and proactive communication are different  types of communication styles and systems. In essence, both systems are communication systems, though they emanate from different sources and  motives. Basic communication involves all means of communication - emails, phone calls, conference calls etc. In these methods of communication, it does not matter who corresponds or initiates communication. However, proactive communication means that one side continues to take a side to open the communication channels.
