The Japan Trench formed at a convergent boundary.

Explanation:

Japan trench is the oceanic trench division present in the pacific ring off fire located at the northeast of Japan. The trench subducts under the continental plate i.e. Okhotsk plate which is also a part of north America. One of the main cause behind repeated tsunamis and earthquake is the japan trench as it is associated with subduction zone were continuous movement takes place. Convergence of pacific plate and Okhotsk plate give rise to the japan trench.

Which tool is most likely used during a field investigation?
Marina86 [1]
Most likely an altimeter,
microscopes can be too heavy to carry outside,
x-ray diffraction is used to determine the molecular structure of a crystal so that is not likely to be helpful,
but an altimeter determines the altitude of an object on a fixed level, so that can be useful during a field investigation
hydrometers-measure gravity of liquids, probably not useful for a field investigation

Answer:

A good example may be represented by different shapes and sizes of beaks in finches living on different Galapagos islands

Explanation:

According to the evolutionary theory proposed by Darwin, natural selection is a mechanism that acts on heritable phenotypic variation among individuals within a population. Genetic variation can be considered as the primary source of heritable phenotypic variation. Those organisms that are better adapted for a particular environment will have more chances to survive and reproduce, thereby passing these heritable traits to the next generation. For example, during his work, Darwin observed that the shape and size of beaks in finch species from different islands in the Galapagos archipelago varied as a consequence, i.e., as an adaptation, to the availability of food resources present in each island.

The action by which plant roots pull water from the soil and then release some of it into the atmosphere through their leaves is
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

Transpiration.

Explanation:

Transpiration is the answer, because transpiration is a plant’s loss of water, mainly through the stomates of leaves. Stomatal openings are necessary to admit carbon dioxide to the leaf interior and to allow oxygen to escape during photosynthesis, hence transpiration is generally considered to be merely an unavoidable phenomenon that accompanies the real functions of the stomates.
