The correct answers are:

- A Lord would be given land by the King in return for homage or a promise to serve the King when called upon;

The King was trying to keep close and satisfied the most influential people in the society, so he was playing on the card of giving them something from which they can profit, but in return they should give him support, be it economic, political, or military.

- A vassal dependent on the agricultural production of serfs to feed the whole system;

The whole system was dependent on the serfs and their performances in the agricultural field. If the serfs were doing the job properly, there was going to be enough food for everyone, but if not, and lets say that they wanted to rebel and stopped working in the fields, than the whole country would starve.

- A King would hire a vassal to provide an army and political advice during times of war;

The vassals were part of the aristocracy, and they were people that were educated, and had experience in combat and politics, so the King was very often calling upon them for advise during a war, or negotiations.

Elements emit colours when heated because electrons in atoms can have only certain allowed energies.Heating an atom excites its electrons and they jump to higher energy levels. When the electrons return to lower energy levels, they emit energy in the form of light. Every element has a different number of electrons and a different set of energy levels. Thus, each element emits its own set of colours. See, for example, mercury and neon above. Those colours are as distinctive to each element as fingerprints are to people.

What if the frequency of a light wave with a wavelength of 680 nm? WILL GIVE POSSIBLE ANSWERS
Anvisha [2.4K]

frequency's unit is Hz which mean cycles per second

given frequency * wavelength = speed of wave

speed of light = 3x10^8 m/s

wavelength = 680nm = 680x10^-9 m

frequency * 680x10^-9 m = 3x10^8 m/s

frequency = 3x10^8 / 680x10^-9

= 4.41x10^14 Hz

= 441x10^12 Hz

= 441 THz

which is the frequency for red light

OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

the long term, the U.S. standard of living has improved. Still, there are some vital numbers to watch. After five years of the poverty rate going down in the U.S., it rose in 2020. The official U.S. poverty rate was 10.5% in 2019, but in 2020 it was up to 11.4%.
