Difference between 'push factor' and 'pull factor':

Push factor:

  • When a particular action or an incident triggers the idea of moving away from a place or entity, it is considered as the 'push factor'.
  • Literally speaking, this factor causes issues that push an individual or a group of individuals out of one place to go and settle elsewhere.
  • Weak or unjust leadership, regional economic instability, etc. work like push factors.

Pull factor:

  • When the superiority of one region attracts an individual or a group of individuals towards itself, it is termed as the 'pull factor' of that particular region.
  • Better earning opportunities, better environment, etc. turn out to be the pull factors in most cases.

77julia77 [94]
First we need to convert them into improper fractions

2 2/5= 12/5

6 4/5= 34/5

to divide fractions you flip the second one and multiply them

12 5 12
---- × ---- = -----
5 34 34

then simplify

12/34=6/17

the correct answer is 6/17
