The correct answer is B) to engender racism against the Japanese and Germans.

What was not the purpose of the propaganda campaign was to engender racism against the Japanese and Germans.

Propaganda campaigns were very important for the United States federal government during World War II, that it created a special agency. It was called the US Office of War Information (OWI). It started operation in June 1942 and was closed in September 1945. Through OWI, the government encouraged people to buy war bonds, tried to attract women to join the labor force and tried to encourage Americans to work efficiently to support the war effort.
