What order should writers use to narrate a sequence of events?

I believe that authors should  use this sequence of events :

PAST `PRESENT `FUTURE.

My reason being is because , when telling us about the past first we know where the character is coming from , 

The present lets us know what the character is going through.

the future lets us witness what the character might do next.
