Let's do this step by step.
First you have to write the problem.
110 + 19h \geqslant 338
h=number of hours worked.

Now, subtract 110 from each side.
Your left with,
19h \geqslant 228
Now you will divide each side by 19 but when dividing 19h you will leave the h.
Your left with
h \geqslant 12
And this will be your answer.
h \geqslant 12 \\ she  \: will\:  have \: to \: sell \: at \: least \: 12 \: computers \: to \: make \: atleast \: 338

Find out what number $350 is 8% of, since he makes 8% commission on sales.  In the percent formula:  a = pb

a is the part, p is the percent (as a decimal), b is the base

350 is 8% of what number?  350 = 0.08b {substituted given values into percent formula and changed 8% to a decimal}

b = $4,375 {divided each side by 0.08}

He needs to make at least $4375 worth of sales.

120/55 will give you the time it takes him to get there. If you subtract that value from both sides, you'd have:

120/x = # hours left

From there you could easily solve his average speed home.

A car travels 90 miles in 1.5 hours. How many miles will it travel in 5 hours if its speed remains the same?
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

3000 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the car travels

900 miles = 1.5 hrs

With the same speed,How many miles will it travel in 5 hours.

Let the miles travelled in 5 hours be A

Therefore

900 miles = 1.5hrs

A miles = 5 hours

Cross multiply

A x 1.5 = 900 x 5

A x 1.5 = 4500

Divide both sides by 1.5

A x 1.5/1.5 = 4500/1.5

A = 3000

A = 3000 miles

The car will travel 3000 miles in 5 hours at the same speed
