The exterior angle at the intersection of the tangent and secant has a measure that is half the difference between the intercepted arcs.

... ((10x+20) -80)/2 = 2x+15

... 5x -30 = 2x +15

... 3x = 45

... x = 15

So, the unknown arc to the right has measure

.. 10x + 20 = 10·15 +20 = 170

And the arcs of the circle total 360°.

... 80 + z + 170 = 360

... z = 360 - 250 = 110 . . . subtract 250 from both sides

The appropriate choice for the value of z is

... B. 110

0.67

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula: k = y/x

k = 2/3

k = 0.66666666666

k = 4/6

k= 0.66666666666

k = 6/9

k = 0.66666666666

k = 8/12

Round 0.67

An isosceles triangle has side lengths of 15.6 units and 20.33 units. What is the greatest possible value of the perimeter of th
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

56.26

Step-by-step explanation:

An isosceles triangle has two sides that are the same length, and one side that is the same length. We have two sizes, so two find the greatest possible perimeter we must assume that the greater size is the value for the two sides, and the smaller size the value for the single side. In other words:

x = 15.6 + 2(20.33)

x = 56.26

The length of the shadow on flat ground of a man who is 6 feet tall and is standing up straight is 8 feet. The distance between
WARRIOR [948]
The answer is 10 ft.  make a triangle 6ft tall, 8ft long (90 degrees to the other line) and draw a line to complete the triangle.  This is a type of 3,4,5 triangle, a 6,8,10.  The other way to do it is sqrt(6^2+8^2) = sqrt(36+64) = sqrt (100) = 10.
