Many people migrated to the United States to avoid the religious intolerance of the host countries. John Locke's writing, “A Letter Concerning Tolerance”, provided the new nation, a clear idea of how to live at peace and with tolerance for all.  It was written when the new nation was looking for more acceptable guiding principles.  It provided and expanded on the theory that at that time was a call for Christian humanism tradition.  Locke had well researched, with many biblical references, his theses, which called for civility for all, and offered the idea that we should follow our conscience, express our faith through love, and live the biblical  “philosophy  of Christ”.

No I do not think so. The American Revolution really inspired people because the colonies didn’t have the best reputation, and everyone though Britain would easily over take them, and when they didn’t the American people were looked up to as the underdog, influencing more people to revolt in their own countries, like France.
