In your question where as ask which of the transformation will map Figure L onto Figure L. Base on my calculation and through step by step procedure and with the guidance of the theories and by the use of formulas, I came up with an answer of <span>horizontal translation of 6 units</span>

Answer:

Transformation rule: T(6,0)

Step-by-step explanation:

In given figure L, Vertices of triangle ABC

A(-3,7)     B(-4,2)  C(-2,4)

In given figure L', Vertices of triangle A'B'C'

A'(3,7)     B(2,2)    C'(4,4)

Please see the attachment for the vertices of A, B and C.

We have to find the map rule how to translate A to A'

T(x,y)\rightarrow T'(x+a,y+b)

A(-3,7)\rightarrow A'(3,7)

B(-4,2)\rightarrow B'(2,2)

C(-2,4)\rightarrow C'(4,4)

We can see x changes to 6 unit right and no change in y

So, Translation rule

T(x,y)\rightarrow T'(x+6,y+0)

Figure L change to figure L' by rule T(6,0)

Thus, Transformation rule is T(6,0)

Well first all you have to do is simplifying both sides of the equation then of course isolating the variable then you should end up with

n = \frac{29}{42}

Hopefully this helps ^0^ Mark Brain

tommy likes to run up and down and "up" escalator. Going up, he can cover 30 steps in 6 seconds. Going down, it takes him 15 sec
NemiM [27]

Answer:

3 steps per second.

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the Unit Rates of each going up and down:

--> 30/6 unit rate is 5 steps per second.

--> 30/15 unit rate is 2 steps per second.

Now subtract them to get the amount if the elevator wasn't moving:

--> 5-2= 3.

Using the quadratic formula to solve 11x^2-4x=1, what are the values of X?
Rashid [163]
The correct answers for x would be \frac{2 +/-  \sqrt{15} }{11}.

In order to find this, we must first get the equation to equal 0. In order to do that, subtract 1 from each side to get the following.

11x^{2} - 4x - 1 = 0

Knowing this we can now use the quadratic equation using a = 11, b = -4 and c = -1. The quadratic equation is below.

\frac{-b +/-  \sqrt{ b^{2} - 4ac} }{2a}

Now we can plug the values into the equation to solve.

\frac{4 +/- \sqrt{ -4^{2} - 4(11)(-1)} }{2(11)}

Then simplify using the order of operations.

 \frac{2 +/- \sqrt{15} }{11}.
