Outlines help in writing an essay for an exam by providing a guideline or short summary of the important details. It will be easier to remember the contents when presented in this manner as they are highlighted. Discussion is also well-organized and in proper order.

It's a short story called "the landlady" by roald dahl and there's a question on dialogue that doesn't make a ton of sense
photoshop1234 [79]
I've read "the landlady" before and its a good short story, Basically it means that she has been waiting for someone day and night by keeping everything the same every second of the day and night. When the young boy came along, she was exited for another costumer for her pleasure of not being alone. that's my way of just seeing it after reading it a lot

Help me with these questions
Marrrta [24]
1 is unclear, please take a better picture

2. x-18=-5, add 18 to both sides so x=13

3. square both sides and get x-8=-x+2, add x to both sides, get 2x-8=2, add 8 to both sides, get 2x=10, divide both sides by 10 and get x=5

4. use distance formula

√( (x-x`)^2 + (y-y`)^2 ) = d

√( (4+5)^2 + (x-8)^2 ) = √155

√ ( 81+x^(2)-16x+64 ) = √155

[I'm not sure how to go from here]

What does it mean to draw conclusions?
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

Hey there! When someone says to draw a conclusion it basically means to gather the information you have and come to an idea about something. For example, if someone said whats your conclusion on the science experiment, you would look at the facts and answer accordingly, Hope this helps :)))))
