Answer:

Megacities have an impact on public health, like contamination of water. Overpopulated places can bring diseases and a lack of health protection.

Explanation:

Megacities are the base for gas emissions that could be very dangerous for the environment. Traffic jam is getting worse day by day. Almost half of the habitant of one city spends at least one hour in the car to get to work.

The answer is traffic and availability of the public transport vehicles.

This is based on my personal experience. Sometimes, I won't be able to take my own vehicle on my way to work. And this would leave me no choice but to commute myself to work. I should take a bus or subway or a cab. But on peak hours on weekdays, numbers of commuters like me would struggle to find an available public transport vehicles. Luckily, I could take either bus or a subway. But for others, these might not be available to them. Sometimes, major roads has so much cars in them that would result to extreme traffic. Bumper to bumper traffic are the worst. These are normal in megacities. This could result to waste of energy and time for the commuter.

How did the geography of the pacific affect american strategy?
Korolek [52]
American war strategy with Britain is different compared to a Pacific war set-up. It is inapplicable to do the same in the ocean and with the island around it. However, it gave the American a completely different outlook on waging war in the Pacific. It made them see other war strategies that can adapt to the physical nature of the ocean and islands which are vital to have in an Asia.

Task Discuss how the lives of the peoples of the ancient world were shaped by the geography of
NISA [10]

Answer:

Large population centers, or urban areas (1), allow civilizations to develop, although people who live outside these urban centers are still part of that region’s civilization. Rural residents of civilizations may include farmers, fishers, and traders, who regularly sell their goods and services to urban residents.

The huge urban center of Teotihuacan, in modern-day Mexico, for example, had as many as 200,000 residents between 300 and 600 CE. The development of the Teotihuacano civilization was made possible in part by the rich agricultural land surrounding the city. As land was cultivated, fewer farmers could supply more food staples, such as corn and beans, to more people.

Trade also played a part in Teotihuacan’s urban development. Much of the wealth and power of Teotihuacan was due to excavating and trading the rich deposits of obsidian around the city. Obsidian is a hard volcanic rock that was highly valued as a cutting tool. Teotihuacano merchants traded (exported) obsidian to surrounding cultures in exchange for goods and services imported to Teotihuacano settlements.

What major geographical advantage does agriculture in the Coastal South have over most other regions of North America
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

The region is largely frost-free so many frost intolerant crops can be grown.

Explanation:

The Coastal South in North America consists of cities like Florida, Texas, and North Carolina. This region is known for the exceptional agriculture that occurs there. The nature of their soil is not the cause of this, rather it has a lot more to do with their climatic conditions which range from the time of the last frost in spring to the beginning of the next frost in fall. So, this allows for about nine months of intensive agriculture.

Frost is ice which is mostly seen on the surface of the soil. It is quite difficult for many plants to survive the harsh condition imposed by frost. So the lengthy number of days and months without frost in the Coastal South gives it a great advantage over compared to many other regions in North America.
