please write a paragraph that compares natural language to the use of Standard English. I'll give you 35 points if you do.
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

Natural languages are the languages that people speak, such as English, Spanish, and French. They were not designed by people (although people try to impose some order on them); they evolved naturally. Formal languages are languages that are designed by people for specific applications. Language is an ever-evolving means of communication that varies most frequently depending on region, ethnicity, and social circles. English that is dependent on these variables is often referred to as Non Standard English, meanwhile Standard English has more rigid rules and is often used in formal settings. Standard English is widely regarded as the “correct” form of the language, but speakers are often able to understand a variety of dialects regardless. While acquiring my first language, English, as a child I was raised in southern Michigan for the first seven years of my life. Although I was later relocated to Mississippi, I did not naturally obtain many of the figures of speech nor the accent of most southerners. I was still frequently exposed to it however and grasped a sufficient understanding of the local dialect.

Read these lines: thus fortune with a light turn of her wheel brings men from joy to sorrow. Which theme from the story is best
marusya05 [52]

The theme that is best represented in this line is<em> </em><u><em>"In a moment's notice, a happy life can become sorrowful</em></u><em>".</em> God has complete power over fortune. People who are fortunate should not expect their fortunes to stay forever.

<h3>How do you identify a theme in a sentence?</h3>

The central idea of the sentence or story is called the theme. The theme captures what the story teaches us about the human condition. It is not a moral lesson. The theme is simply a statement. To identify the theme in a sentence, ask these 3 questions:

  1. What is the story or narrative about?
  2. What is the significance behind the story?
  3. What is the lesson to be learned?

The theme will become clear as you understand the meaning.

Which statement best describes society in Harrison Bergeron
Arte-miy333 [17]

The correct answer is option B. All people have been made equal in beauty, intelligence, and strenght.

The story of Harrison Bergeron takes place in a society constanly vigilated by government agents. Their duty is to make sure every citizen has their intelligence, appearance, and physical prowess handicapped to the point these attributes match those of the rest of the population, turning everybody into equal beings. In order to achieve this, a so-called "Handicapper General" takes charge over the control of devices such as high-frequency transmitters and masks, which modify citizens' behaviour and ensure order.
