Answer: Sean is not an effective speaker because he is disrespectful of others.

Although passion and decisiveness are important when fighting for a cause you care about, being disrespectful is not a good quality. When someone uses forceful language or interrupts, he is not letting others listen to counterclaims. This is a big problem as it limits the exchange of ideas. Moreover, someone who is disrespectful can be intimidating, which reduces everybody's participation in the debate.

What describes Sean is not an effective speaker. It’s because he uses forceful language and frequently interrupts others.

EXPLANATION

Sean is not an effective speaker because an effective speaker will speak in a way that his messages will be heard and acted upon. There are two main elements that an effective speaker should consider, which is what you say and how you say it.

1. What you say

An effective speaker needs to consider his words when he is trying to say a speech. The words that he uses need to be appropriate in a formal setting. The words that can be used in a formal setting is different from the words that you can use when speaking with friends.

2. How you say it

An effective speaker needs to consider how he says his points, not only the words inside the speech. The things that an effective speaker needs to pay attention to is intonations when to say something loudly or softly, and also body language to make some points seem clearer.

The three main elements of effective speaking are the voice, the words that are used, and body language. Voice is important because whether you are confident or shy, it is definitely will be shown. The words that are used also have to be chosen well. The last one is body language, if someone uses hands and eye contacts in a speech, it will make the speech more understandable.
