He wants to be well-off , to get a job that would allow him to buy a house with porch in a green suburban area. This money would gain him people´s respect.

George avoids Mr.Cattanzara by crossing the street when he approaches Mr Cattanzara´s house. He feels despair because he is unable to keep his promise to read 100 books.

"George knew he looks passable on the outside, but he was crumbling apart." He feel this way because he has managed to earn people´s respect by making them believe he can read such a large number of books; however, he knows his lie is short-lived and will soon be discovered.

The base form of the verb refers to the verbs which do not have any ending such as -ed, -ing, -s.

In the present tense all the base form of the verb appears except the third person singular.

<em>For example-</em>

1st person singular- I eat

2nd person singular- you eat

<u>3rd person singular- he/she eats</u>

1st person plural- we eat

2nd person plural- you eat

3rd person plural- they eat.

In "the Most dangerous game" Does Rainsford's perspective on hunting shift throughout the story?

At the beginning of the story, Rainsford's attitude is fairly cold toward the animals that he hunts. Rainsford loves hunting, and he feels no sympathy for the animals that he hunts and kills. But when general Zaroff starts hunting him he started to know how the hunted feels like.
