Discrimination is the unjust/distinctive treatment that we directed specifically to a certain group based on their characteristic. The characteristics could be based on race, color, gender, religion, social status, etc. (in the case above, the discrimination is based on race or color)
Discrimination practice was really common in united states until the Civil Rights Act of 1964 made it Illegal to do so.
