Standard Tree Protocol (STP) is a networking protocol that was made by Radia Perlman. It makes a single path over a network, averting any loops from happening. Even if there are multiple paths to the same destinations. It has two never versions which is 802.1s and 802.1w.

Write a method that takes three numerical String values and sums their values.
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

<u>Algorithm</u>:

  1. Take a int variable c=0.
  2. Run the loop from 0 to String length.
  3. Get the each index value using charAt() method which will return the char value.
  4. Convert that char into int by typecasting or any other way.
  5. Now check that ASCII fall into the range of 48-57 for 0-9 int number.
  6. If it matches then first convert that number into integer using Integer.parseInt().
  7. Then add with the c and store to the same variable i.e c.
  8. Repeat from 3-7 till the end of the loop.
  9. At the end of loop , Print c outside the loop.

• What advantage does a circuit-switched network have over a packet-switched network? What advantages does TDM have over FDM in
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

Advantages of both circuit switched networks and TDM are given below:

Explanation:

Advantages of circuit switched network over packet switched network:

  • Circuit switched network has the advantage of being physically connected and having a dedicated channel for communication between the sender and the receiver which also makes it more reliable. Packet switched networks do not have a dedicated channel hence, they are not that reliable.
  • Circuit switched networks are used for voice calls because there is no timing jitter or delay in these types of networks while packet switched networks do not offer this advantage.

Advantages of TDM over FDM in a circuit switched network:

  • TDM is time division multiplexing i.e. multiple information is sent in different time intervals but on the same frequency. While FDM sends information using different frequencies. So, the advantage of using TDM is that the information will be sent from the sender to the receiver using only a single frequency.
  • Using TDM, bandwidth is saved because it only sends information on a single frequency unlike FDM.
  • In TDM, there is low chance of interference between signals since they are sent in different time intervals from the sender to the receiver. While FDM has a higher chance of interference.

Shortest Remaining Time First is the best preemptive scheduling algorithm that can be implemented in an Operating System.
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

a

Explanation:

Yes, true.

Shortest Remaining Time First, also popularly referred to by the acronym SRTF, is a type of scheduling algorithm, used in operating systems. Other times it's not called by its name nor its acronym, it is called the preemptive version of SJF scheduling algorithm. The SJF scheduling algorithm is another type of scheduling algorithm.

The Shortest Remaining Time First has been touted by many to be faster than the SJF
